The simplicity of the way of life in this sub-Atlas village was humbling. As the host pulled out a delicious home made pita brad out of the wood-fired oven, I felt guilty for possessing something as valuable and un-necessary as an SLR camera.

most excellent shot. fantastic framing.glad you had your camera, and description of this pic… reality check on the petty things i sometimes complain about.
If you’re ever feeling guilty again…send it this way! : ) Wendy
Thanks Carlos. It was an eye-opening experience
not quite that guilty Wendy :)
Love how you captured the light cutting the room.
vedran thanks for your comment.this is a very difficult shot i think.to capture this range between dark and light.very fine work and wonderfull to look at.good job!!
perfect light capture
wonderful image. the lighting is perfect. the tones give it all a sense of softness. i love the single hanging bulb and the sink…it all goes together to tell a story. i’m so glad you had that ‘unnecessary’ slr with you!
Thank you all for your comments and feedback. It is very much appreciated and it inspires me to pick up the camera more often!
Mmm…I can understand how you’d feel guilty for having the camera. But I’m glad you took the picture! People most people don’t realize what it means to live humbly. This, hopefully, can open a few eyes a bit. It’s a good Reality Check.
