He yearned for some relief
To smooth his furrowed brow
No matter how brief
He required something now

The job was labour intense
Day fraught with catastrophe
Communications were immense
All this for a minimal fee

His body ached upright
Back & neck strained
Documents to expedite
Numerous piles remained

Glancing through an office window
He drifted miles away
Reflections of dreams he’d follow
Above the everyday

Silver stratocumulus sailing the heavens
A cool zephyr caresses vegetation
Temperate precipitation readily descends
He inhales deeply without hesitation

The elements brought well needed respite
In this moment he exhales with ease
The end to daily drudgery was in sight
For him homecoming would surely appease
