It’s a masterly piece Val…....the love is there, along with the pain that seems to belong to love sometimes. But in the end they have each other to hold and to love…..unconditional.

being a mother and one who has also created her own Madonna and child image, this is beautiful Val! I agree with Arie the pain also associated with unconditional love is felt, but the unconditional love clings together forever. Its the pieces we have trouble finnishing that are worth the effort in the end.

Wow .. wonderful title and emotive imagery. This reminds me of the Steiner style of painting. Their subject is often the Madonna and child and always painted without faces so that you see what you need to see. Beautiful work Val.

And for you to depict the Holy Mother with the Christ Child, whom she loved so dearly and lost through the suffering of the Cross, is nothing short of magnificant.
