Sometimes you have to love people where they are and leave them where they are at
Maybe when I said I love you
You thought you could change my mind
But yet no matter the emotional torture
You hash out to me
It is still there
A burning passionate flame
Never dying
Never hiding
Know you think your manipulation
Your stealth
Can change my heart
You never lose my love
Once it is yours, it is ever there
But my trust is slow to grow back
Not like a starfish’s limb
More like a tree bark cut into
You accuse others of hurts
That you commit yourself
Then judge the hurt
By what ever rational
Is convenient
To hide what you did
Or are still doing
I am not without blame
I heard your every word
And still gave you a chance
To prove yourself wrong
For once
But instead of stepping up
You dropped the fragile vessel
Shards are everywhere
Only frustration remains
I guess I am too much for you
A stronger brew
So I walk away
Leave you in your dwelling
Freedom be my companion
