Colour Of Skin

Don’t ask me my name
Don’t ask about my colour of skin
Don’t divide me with boundaries
Don’t recognise me with religion
Don’t bind me with limit ends
Don’t prison me with darkness
Let me fly up on the sky
Let me go with wind
Let me breathe
Let me live

Don’t ask the colour of skin
Don’t recognise me with that

Did you see the colour is God’s skin?
What colour is God’s skin?
Is it White?
Is it Black?
Is it Red?
Is it Grey? Or It is brown?
Did you ever see what the colour is God’s skin?
If you don’t know why do the different races fight
If everyone equal is Lord’s sight
Then why do we differentiate human with colour?
What the colour is your skin
What the colour is mine
And what the colour is God’s skin?
Who could tell it all
Where we could find that clue?
Where we could see that all?
What colour have you got under your skin
What colour I have got under my skin!
Let me see once!
What the colour is!

we are all spiritual beings beneath the illusion projected from our outerwear.opps I asked what your name meant just before I read this one. you will forgive my ignorance please. For me my name Joseph has drawn me deeply to dig within all the Josephs I have met along the way and they have helped me to see within myself through their lives, it all started checking them out when I read about Joseph in the bible and how he was a favorite of his dad and his brothers tried to kill him instead, He was rescued and then rescued his entire family. Naturally my favorite was Joseph the Father of Jesus, who I have had a personal relationship with as long as I have had one with Jesus. So please forgive me I see our names as a great gift of a spiritual nature.

Very insightful. You exude a social moral conscience far beyond your years (although I’m just making a guess at that from your pic!) But then again, I shouldn’t categorise you by your age either, should I? Lol. Beautiful girl is right – on the inside where it counts. Loved the poem. Thank you.

Very true. Judgment seems to have been a part of the history of humanity. However I think if we truly know ourselves that judgment cannot hurt so much. From this place of less or no hurt we are more likely to positively reach those who cast judgment.

  • Ushna Sardar replied

    I agree Tony!

awesome Ushna…........be proud and true… we’re all spiritual beings having a human experience – the paradox is us – and colour is just the packaging we choose each time our soul is growing… hurt another and we hurt ourselves ultimately – beutiful piece young lady…...

    Nicley done!

What should be and what is, is two different things. A harsh reality in life is to many times color and what makes you “different” does matter. It has been that way since the beginning of time. It is called judgement, a by product of the fall of mankind. Judging one another is not of God. We are not to judge one another, we are to love one another. If you are not sure what love is, turn to 1st Corinthians, Chapter 13

Again, a sad reality is we do not love one another as we should. The point of a poem like this is to encourage a way of thinking, to extend a teaching, and place focus on what we should strive for. Not striving toward what is right is giving up. God needs warriors of strength and pride.

The Bible says that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. To achieve that, we must lean on and seek Christs help. Have you ever tried something you thought you may not like but tried it anyway, and found out you loved it? That is my challenge to the readers of this poem. Only Chirst in us can change the world, our world around us. For that to happen we need to seek Christ and ask him to be in our lives, our hearts.

All people are Gods people. It is not our job to judge or to oppress. Check out To the Opressor

Read the Bible. Embrace the principles of God. Seek Christ in your life. Press Toward The Mark

    Ushna, Excellent poem!!!
