Half Forgotten Memories

I can hear the voice deep inside the silence
I can see staring out upon the sea
The waves were washing over half forgotten memories
You, your love is now just a forgotten memory!
And I won’t pretend we never met
Won’t think the time we had
Won’t see into your eyes
There’s no love
There’s no feel
You are just a empty picture
Without colours
without feel
Without love!
I’m seeing in to your heart
I can feel the emptiness!

And deep within the moment
dreams floats upon the breeze
I can hear your voice too
but its too far away
and it rising and falling dying down within me
I never knew how it could be
I tried but never could see that all I had inside
I never see the waves how they crash at heart’s door
Beyond that beautiful horizon, lies a dream for you and I
This tranquil scene could not depict the picture of broken dreams
You couldn’t see the storm
You just couldn’t heard when wind was crying
I won’t tell you, the serenade is growing colder
It breaks my soul, don’t you know!
There’s so many thoughts but, I won’t sing
I won’t writing about broken dreams
Nor I fly with broken wings!
but I feel better when I’m with you
Maybe Its a sort of temporary peace!

Contagious this stupidity is, 3 reads in the past 20 minutes all relating to much the same, lack of communication, conveyance of feelings, hearbreak, dreams smothered, astray etc. The writings all heartfelt, sincere, and unbelievably kind to the one addressed, no vengence, no other woman or man, no hateful words or wishes. Ushna Your writing just so sincere, beautifully and tastefully done, but unfortunate also.

Love is so hard to understand. There is such deep feeling but so little ownership of knowing. Best to try and flow with fate. To love in the moment and stay open for more love. I feel that we often feel rejection so deeply that much of our true learning is lost. However when we do embrace all experience we seem to become so much more knowledgeable ans so much more open to true love.

  • Ushna Sardar replied

    absolutely true tony!
I agree, love is all about a experience! you just can’t feel anything with observation, and thats true we all learn from experience!
but its not easy to find a true love! nowadays true love is rare! and journey of that experience! it hurts bad!

  • Ushna Sardar replied

thanks for sharing such a lovely and deep thought tony!

i feel a beautifully written sad acceptance here…but with that acceptance also comes enlightenment….... and with it the strength to work harder for what you need or the strength and wisdom to let it go…........ best of luck on whichever path you follow…......... thank you for sharing…........b

Wow, Ushna, this is beautifully written. There are many heartfelt lines that I loved. “I never knew how it could be.” This is so sad – lost love. And I loved the way you ended it. “but I feel better when I’m with you – Maybe Its a sort of temporary peace!” Like she really couldn’t let go of the shelter of his memory. So was he really so forgotten. The love was real and painful, but now the love is gone, now it is lost love, a half-forgotten memory as she stares out at the very serene sea pondering what could have been. I liked it very much. It is very deep.
