divine atemporality - by Trenchtownrock & Ushna Sardar

Out of the corner of my eye
I’ve planted some artificial dreams
being exigent…
have been finding my location on a map
looking up the numbers
on a coordinate grid are used to locate points
tried to look up astronomical horizon
that required me to make sense of the notion of necessary existence
I’ve considered disagreement and all possible contingencies
the necessary existence of God
cosmological arguments within my soul
I saw time coming closer
waste my breath
sometimes we can safely draw some conclusions from our discussion
I’ve expressed scepticism
arguments for divine atemporality
where the reality was far more complex
within those walls I may find musings on life’s philosophy
the ideas had become a pantomime and no decisions were ever made
I saw, all effort I put in fell on deaf ears
there was no room for non-existence nor imperfection
I mimed climbing a mountain
while I wanted to hold the key to my promised land
the pendulum of my opinion
empathized with the striking miners
it couldn’t swing freely under the influence of gravity
Lost…
trying to find the coordinates
for my way back home
into my mystery
will my after hour seed grow
springing to life the knowledge
that has confounded me
should I look to the hills
of the Caribbean and search for that voodoo spirit
the one that has spoken to me in dreams
when I am wide awake drinking thoughts
drifting off into lands where gods
and spirits are calling me home
don’t think this Jamaican is crazy
no need to wash my feet with blood from the cross
or bathe me with your sympathetic tears
I am just lost momentarily
in a world that never knew me
maybe I will wait for the reincarnation
when everything will become crystal
and flow like Dunn’s River falls
on a cool summer’s eve
but until then no worries
for this man trying to find his way back home
somewhere the answer is before me
the mysteries will drop its clothes
and expose itself eventually
and the epilogue will be read finally.

Oh wow..this left me speechless for a moment. when I am wide awake drinking thoughts
drifting off into lands where gods and spirits are calling me home
I can feel the mysticism in these words and find that they are similar to my own. I felt like you were reaching my spirit.

The necessary existence of God…that really provokes in me such deep thought. I want to digest these words and really let them sink in. There’s so much depth in them. I am awestruck by the both of you!

The conversation here had the elements of so many things but what totally stood out for me was the act of finding one’s true compass and to be at firm and at home in what we believe. To be sure that our north is true north for the individual we are…
This prose I found had a complexity that was entertaining but also it rode on an elegant carriage of the simple wisdom! :))
