stand the coin on its edge

She rang the bell and waited
Lights were burning upstairs, but no one answered the door
she walked slowly away from him
she heard the door slam behind her
The rims of her eyes were red with crying
no body knows that she suddenly burst into tears behind closed doors
she could hear the sound of her ragged breathing
she tried to stand the coin on its edge
she set off along the cliff path.—

She couldn’t stand being kept waiting
A window slammed shut in the wind
she has been waiting…
she has been thinking of him but pretending
she has been waiting for the candle to burn with a bright flame
she snuffed out a candle but a hope flamed in her
‘There you are,’ said a voice behind her.
a tiny inner voice insisted, “You’ll just have to wait your turn”
she heard her inner voice
but she pretended that nothing had happened
she was seized by a sudden pang of conscience
she is under no illusions about what she have been feeling
she remembered that they talked about everything under the sun
she heard the voice of the rain in the silence
she heard some empty words
she thinks she felt a drop of rain under the burning sun
but It seemed, the volcano erupted, raining hot ash over a wide area
she waited her chance and slipped out when no one was looking
she saw the house had been standing empty for some time
sometimes she emptied out her pockets but could not find her keys
she has often wondered what happened to her
she never felt nothing in the world like this before
she emptied the ashtrays, washed the glasses and went to bed
she pretended to be asleep
she busied herself with the preparations for the things
she never felt nothing like this before
she had a busy time lined up but ..
she felt like a part of her was missing
today she thought about him
today she realised something
and she discovered it was him
she realised she has wishing that he would come back through her door
Now she knows that she has been waiting for him
She loves how being just who they are is enough
she missed that today and she waits for him
she is under no illusions about what hard time this will be
without him…
she doesn’t want to burn her bridges
so..
She waits…
she will wait for him!
