Standing on the half path
that’s having no destiny
closed directions
blocked valley
access denied
looked half starved
Pathetic and lonely
pathetic excuses
pathetic sights
bare feet
thirsty lips
endless road
frustrated
under the burning sun
no way to return
empty mind
chaotic skies
closed eyes
senescence
(in some way)
centrist
pointless segregation
senseless logic
distracted directions
complicated thoughts
pointless theories
(They felt frustrated at the lack of progress)
their apathy just made them even more frustrated
broken link
broken focus
broken rules
dead morality
endless wars
burning eyes
empty soul
personal interests
illogical reasons
pointless politics
eliminated ethics
they couldn’t draw up a code of ethics
biological weapon
chemical weapon
It’s senseless to continue any further
but ..
a endless curiosity
trying to say sententiously
but voice doesn’t support words
trying to think generously
but couldn’t be generous with their time
Ah’ what we are giving them
what we have been giving them!
where we have been leaving to our generation next
I often wonder what future generations will make of our efforts!

we are leaving behind everything from the past and then some. history will repeat itself over and over and over…we have to hope for a break in the cycle, hope for enlightnment and honesty, hope for a lot more progress outside of technology, more like on humanity…great piece btw

I spent 31 years as a teacher and what you have “said” here is often on my mind because of my experience with their flexible minds. They are our future what are we giving them to work with?
theyellowfury, 2 months ago
Totally. Who are their idols and who do they aspire to? If they are those that are pumped into the back of their tvs and into their minds by what I call Black Marketing the future looks pretty grim. Much of the internet isn’t suitable for kids and its tough to police. But its an almost infinite store of unfiltered information and cool stuff rises to the top regardless of geographic location (unless you’re at the olympics) so its easier to find.

once again you bring up such thoughts and subjects that start the conversations and communication between the readers….you never know what affects and actions (meaning positive awareness) that can happen from voices uniting and conversing….once again my mind is racing with thoughts and my soul is profoundly touched….powerful and insightful work as always my dear…:))....Huggles and light sent your way xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Nice work Ushna….lovely words about an ugly topic.
“what future generations will make of our efforts” .... sadly they will probably look at us as self-destructing, tunnel-visioned chasers of image and useless physical accumulation to the exclusion of all else.
A world of people so wrapped up in the pursuit of material comforts that we would step over our own kind to get to it.
Like a bunch of rats in a finite cage (though perhaps rats aren’t that stupid) we are so hell bent on glutting ourselves on wide-screen tv’s and the latest mobile phone that we can’t see the giant pile of excrement that we are turning our world into.
It’s not that I think everyone is like this all of the time, but those who aren’t don’t get much press, and are possibly ever more likely to be in the minority.
Kind of sad, but that’s not to say it can’t change….a good dose of anti-neo-conservative-laxative should clear the system of it’s ills.
Ushna Sardar in reply to Mark Moskvitch’s comment, 2 months ago
thank you so much Mark! you are right that a world of people so wrapped up in the pursuit of material comforts that we would step over our own kind to get to it!
well said Mark!
I hope one day we will think of it and try to get rid of all those things we should avoid! hope one day we will get out of that circle! and think of those generation that going to get hold up next!
thank you so much for sharing nice thoughts!
appreciate your precious comments!
keep reading and keep in touch!

Nice one Ushna. They will probably say all the same things we did about the generations before.
