Day Begins

Another day has broken, and my eyes begin to slowly open,
as my senses awaken to the sweet sound of the dawn chorus sung to perfection by the many birds who live in my garden,
I feel the promise of the new day.

I lay in my bed and from my window I can see the the Sun beginning it’s day, as if “he” is also climbing out from “his” bed, throwing back the covers and raising “his” majestic head.

Sunlight hits the trees, they come to life as the birds take their morning flight, what a wondrous sight to behold, glory be to God for he has made this day for us the ones he loves.

What beauty my soul beholds, anticipation fills me as to what the day will unfold, my heart glows with the splendor of the Sun so pure like gold, so precious, this antiquity of days of old, so rare, so fair, never can be sold and no human will ever hold.

Breathing in the sweetness of the morning air, I think I’ll just stay right here and lay in my bed, and into the garden I stare, taking in the sights and sounds of the morning’s glory, happy with the world and all that stands before me.
