In an intense scene between Heisenberg and a certain someone (spoiler evasion), Heisenberg says “if you don’t know who I am, then maybe your best course would be to tread lightly.” That quote was the inspiration for this design. The infamous Heisenberg face drawing sits atop the snake and grass from the famous Gadsen Flag.
The Gadsden flag is a historical American flag with a yellow field depicting a snake coiled and ready to strike. Positioned below the snake on the original flag are the words “Dont tread on me”. The flag was designed by and is named after American general and statesman Christopher Gadsden. It was also used by the Continental Marines as an early motto flag, along with the Moultrie Flag.
