I was asked by my good friend and photographer to do one part of his wedding. May part was to come up with an art image of there wedding that he may hang on his wall and it ended up being the only one that is hanging now on the wall of there home. It was my great privilege to have this honor. We went at our first photographer’s convention in Saskatchewan- we both where shy and felt overwhelmed and became great friends. I have sailed with a him and a small group of photographers for 14 years and then I moved to Victoria BC
My desire was to create an image that was unique to me and of course to the bride and groom and the other photographers. Inferred seemed to be new in our area no one had been photographing with inferred film because one reason- it is so sensitive to light. I found a design that expressed the feeling I wanted to convey. The texture and design of the structure with two shapes representing the couple- on the left the reality together. The stairs of life- as they descend to live a life as husband and wife- with both feet on the ground! The make belief that we feel in inferred glow and contract and texture feeling of enlightenment and permanence- I love it they are still together after many years..
Love has no time limit
response form the groom.
Our wedding portrait still hangs proudly in our home. It’s one of my favorite images!
