Greetings and salutations my fellow Redbubblers, and to all who by accident or design find themselves visiting my page. My name is Kevin, I’m middle aged (that’s my story and I’m sticking with it o_O ) a photographer by avocation and an academic by vocation. I was born and raised in the New York City area and have lived most of my life there. After Paris it’s my favorite city in the world. But enough about me…Wait, this is supposed to be about me :D

My tastes in photography are far-flung and scopic, and my experience at Redbubble has, perhaps more than anything else, both impassioned my love of the art and my ability to participate in it. I enjoy ‘purist’ right out of the box photos as much as those digitally enhanced; the real and the surreal; the ridiculous and the sublime.

I’m especially fond of Photojournalism – especially “Street Photography”, Landscape, Fashion, Portrait, Long Exposure, Pictorialism, Snapshot aesthetic, Erotic, Travel and Vintage photography to name a few. Within many genres I’m particularly fond of Wabi-Sabi, the Japanese esthetic of finding beauty in imperfection and profundity in nature, of accepting the natural cycle of growth, decay, and death.

The profusiuon of absolutely stunning images I encounter here can have a humbling effect, but the culture is one which welcomes – indeed encourages all levels of experience and expertise, and my experiences here have been both liberating and positive. I thank all for the images I enjoy seeing each day, and those Redbubblers who have been kind enough to fave or comment on mine.
