i like how the IR effect makes everything look like its always winter its very cool if only i could afford to mess with my cammerra to make it IR but sadly i cant id be scared id break it top job well done

Greig….I use a filter that screws into the lens threads….it was £10 off ebay….you dont have to perform surgery on your camera to do IR photography. You can get the IR blocking filter removed from your camera but thats expensive and stops you using it for normal photography. It does however allow you to shoot IR hand-held. With the screw-in filter I use a tripod and a shutter release is a must as exposure times are in seconds….even on a bright sunny day.

I use an eos400D with a cheapo 58mm screw-in IR filter.
