there is no place

there is no place
for the low yellow sun,
and the heat it harbours,
or bestows,
not in this part of the day,
with me.

i place the foot gently,
ahead,
soft grasses yield, and lay down,
they share with me
my burden,
without choice and without say.

there is no place
for the high vapour trail,
fragile filaments evaporate,
dissolve before our eyes,
those enveloped on
the invisible rise.

your trouble is also mine,
and i will share this,
and accept how lives are dealt it,
even if there is no place for it.

there is no place
