An inspired piece, after reading the wonderful writing *Her Groundhog Day by WolfSoul

Her Groundhog Day
Author: WolfSoul

Your words,
If I were blind,
Would be all I could hear,
If I was deaf,
Would be all I could see,
Strong,
Words,
Is all you can be…

It was never you…

Just dumb fucking me!

As I sit on this chair…
I can smell it,
Your blood,
On my hands,
Taste it,
My blood thirsty plans…
I…
I…want this,
In this dimmed kitchen light,
I sit…
In this deep thinking fight,
Am I right?

I’m afraid…

Not of him,
He was made,
He’s not cruel,
Just…
Affection mislaid,
Excuses,
I’ve played,
Exclusions,
In shade,
Hiding the obvious,
Why the hell have I stayed…

As I’m patting the spade,
Upon that lump in the ground,
I cherish the sound,
Of pound upon pound,
Where I’m feeling no pain,
And no bruises surround,
My delicate body,
He beat fucking down…

Emotional,
Or physical,
It’s still fucking miserable…

And as he walks through the door,
I stand up for the roar,
This time I am stronger,
I’ve killed you before,
Right here at this table,
I shiver,
Unstable,
He kisses my cheek,
This is not just a label,
It’s different,
I know it,
He’s sorry,
The same shit…

It’s different,
I know it,
It’s love,
And he shows it…

Yes, this is indeed brilliant I know the poem of Wolf Soul and so can have a sense of where this “comes from.” I know this points at a reality for so many people about which not nearly enough is being done. Great work.

  • Thank you so much George… I love to be inspired by others. WolfSoul captured the essence of ‘staying’ and this I think is reflective of that one small snippet of his work. Domestic Violence is ulgy and I think WolfSoul paints the ugly truths within it’s ugliness too… if that makes sense?

Thank you so much George for your time and great comments today here :)

This is a scary but true reality for some. excellent post unbeknown, and I’m honoured that I inspired you. You should put this in the groups Love Bytes and Poetry & Beautiful Woman. Awesome and right in your face truth, well done! x

  • Hey, ever get the feeling your being talked about :) It all bounced from your excellent write! I will try and do that but I may have to leave Love Bytes and try again to join – don’t know why I cant get in their lately?

A difficult subject, but thank you for inspiring me, the picture upset my hubby last night – he said he didn’t like my face being like this, he was shocked but when I showed him your piece he got it and soon got over the photo.

Thank you again for the inspiration x

Lol, I would feel the same if it was Loz unbeknown, but shock art is as it sounds. These are the piece that allow people to think and stop and see and may even help other people. I’m glad to have been your inspiration on this piece ; ) x

  • You are welcome and I am grateful for the joining of our two pieces today :)

    Love ‘N’ Laughter Kriss

  • He took this pic last week and had no idea what it was for. I’m glad people are looking at it and turning slightly in a way. It’s amazing how we can all get on here and do something Kriss even if we only make a few people think… that’s progress. Hope you are ok, :) :)

This has come just after I’ve read a piece in the newspaper about how a young girl is scarred for life after some 14 year old threw a brick through the closed car window. She is scarred for life but he gets fined just £200 (Yes,, two hundred pounds). More needs to be done by the courts!

  • Welcome to you trish725 too, by heck that seems to be a horrid tale indeed, the courts do need to do more, however archaic methodology within the legislative system prevents even the best of judges passing over a decent sentence. thank you for your time to view and your comment.

Please tell me it’s make up.
    What a powerful piece.

  • Welcome to you Lanii it’s not make up, bless you but don’t worry I don’t have these bruises and bashes for real. They are done in photoshop, did you go to WolfSouls page and give his work a read – the image was borne out of his piece ‘Her Groundhog Day’. Such powerful writing and image to prod us.

  • Oh Caz, of all the beautiful souls to make cry… :( This is strong, but I feel it had to be a strong picture to reflect WolfSouls powerful write.
