Captured in the marsh, at Oak Hammock Marsh north of Stony Mountain, Manitoba, Canada….I could not believe my eyes, when this little fellow came right out of the grass and actually looked at me for a few minutes…Better seen enlarged HERE BTW.
Camera Details: Canon EOS Digital Rebel T3I 18.0 MP CMOS, w Sigma 150mm-500mm Zoom Lens exp 6.3, TV Shutter speed 1/500, ISO500 Focal Length 403mm.

Mink (mustela vison)
Length: head and body, 12 – 20 in; tail 5 – 9in.
What to look for: long, slim body; fur dark red-brown, except for small pale area on the chin and scattered white spots on the underside.
Habitat: along rivers, streams, and lakes, and occasionally in marshes. They are never far from water.
