Location: In the marsh at FortWhyte Alive, our nature Center on the south edge of Winnipeg, Canada.

Model: Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi, 75-300mm Lens F stop: F/7.1 Exposure: 1/320 sec. Focal length: 200mm ISO 200

Northern Leopard Frog: Rana pipiens…Length: 2 – 5 inches.

What to look for:…. Green or brown; Large, round, light-bordered spots on back; Light colored ridges; Light stripe on upper jaw; no light spot in the center of eardrum.

Habitant:….. Damp meadows, weedy edges of streams and lakes. braskish marshes.

A self taught amateur photographer who resides in beautiful Winnipeg, Manitoba, which is a prairie city in the center of Canada.
