The World As We See It, Or As You Missed It..6 April 2011

Captured just north of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada off of PTH 101…Better seen enlarged HERE

Make: Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi
F stop: F/5.0 Exposure: 3/10 sec. Focal length: 150.0 mm
Flash: flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode (16)
Shutter speed (Tv): 1.7
Lens Sigma 150mm macro F 2.8

I took this late at dusk, and was amazed by the colors created by the natural light…. This is actually caused by excessive flood waters in the Red River Valley. There is a huge culvert crossing under the highway, and this is a result of in excess of 12 feet of water swirling to enter the same culvert….Believe me you would not want to fall in here…Yikes!!!

A self taught amateur photographer who resides in beautiful Winnipeg, Manitoba, which is a prairie city in the center of Canada. My dear wife Marg and I have been married for 52 years, and we have 2 married daughters and 3 grandchildren to share our busy lives.I love to read, practice photography, spend time with my family, play around on the computer, and volunteer a lot of my time at our local Nature Center, where I serve as an interpreter for kids programs.
