Artist's Description

Location: This old railroad switch was found on an abondoned railroad spur line on the property of FortWhyteAlive, our Nature Center on the Southwest edge of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

It was in use back at the turn of the century, when Canada Cement used to move their products by rail. This old switch stands at the back property, as a reminder of the role the railroad played in this area, and has been preserved, because of its historical value to our community.

Canon XTi, w 55mm Lens, AV 5.6, Shutter speed 1/400, ISO 200.
