OLD THRESHING MACHINE

Location: Just north of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
This model is called a Red River Standard, and is not in use today, but was used extensively on the Prairies here in Canada in the late thirties, forties and early fifties. For you folks who are interested to see how this machine works, there is a neat video, complete with sound just , click here

Great shot and very interesting video…can’t believe all those moving parts and belts…kind of scarey but back in the day I’m sure it was amazing!

Thanks jeffrae, yes it is kinda mind boggling how it actually worked, but that was then, unfortanately some folks lost their lives here, because of the openess of the feeder, and all those motor driven belt around. Thanks for viewing.
