Concept: Felt an urge to paint Phoebe in a Gustave Klimt-inspired costume after reading his biography. Was curious how Phoebe would look in it. A far cry from the master’s but painting Phoebe in that was fun!

phoebe doesn’t look too happy about it
Haha! It’s probably because the way her mouth droops. She’s not sad, that how she looks in all my paintings. :)
i love this, Phoebe’s outfit is something i’d like to wear myself, i love the stylised tree and the patterning there also….you have great style…easily recognisable, and very darling!
This piece kind of stand out amongst the rest because of the colours used. Its’ peers were of softer and sweeter hues. Personally, I like those outfits that Gustave Klimt painted for his models, I believe it must have blown the minds of his counterparts and art critics of his time ;-)
Great work!!!!
Wow…. amazing piece of work! You are really fantastic. Great imagination and great colours!
Thanks Miss Koo!! Enjoyed painting this very much because the style and colours are pretty much different from what I nomally create…and satisfied with the results :D

I’ve decided to pay more attention to your other characters, Ellen, so that they would not feel neglected by me, their close friend’s godma….This is one masterpiece, Ellen. Beautiful tree, background, and Phoebe’s costume….an eye catching piece!
Awww….Thanks Ujean for paying attention to this piece and for your encouraging comments too, appreciate it! I finished painting this when I was holidaying in Chiang Mai some months ago, one of the best holidays I had….and that trip inspired “Mountain Whispers” too! :D
