Concept: Phoebe basking in the glory of sunflowers, their presence giving her the strength and courage to live life like these admirable flowers . I was thinking of an ex-colleague cum friend when I was painting this and I want to dedicate this painting to her too. I hope she will be as brave as these sunflowers….which turn their heads towards the sun and not shy away, their heads tracking the position of the sun from dawn to dusk. Likewise, she can be like them….celebrating life’s ups and downs in a courageous fashion :D

    wow i LOVE this…i love the owls too! such brilliant colors, and the animals come across as very kind. is the art scene nice in singapore? i have a friend who went there and he said the city was gorgeous and really clean

    Thanks Kim for your lovely comments, I love owls very much! The 3 of them are best of pals, sharing life’s experiences together :D Glad you like them too. Singapore is a small country and the art scene in the recent years have expanded….art as in all kinds of arts, not just fine art alone. The arts scene is getting more vibrant now with The Explanade(Singapore’s version of the sydney opera house…somewhat).However, I think it will take a abit more time for the masses catch up with art appreciation, especially fine art. :D
