I agree about the light and movement…This is beautiful.
Probably not many in of your viewers get the attitude of these draft horses, but I lived this and can tell you that you are spot on. They have that resigned to the task look, not glorified like so many artist try to do. Excellent composition here also as the repeated horizontal elements of the binder draw the focus the viewer back to the figure!
Hi Randy – Pieter saw your comment a couple of days ago and really appreciates your sentiments. That is exactly what he intends to do. It is the same with the kelpies. They are working dogs, not doe-eyed romanticised creatures. That would be misunderstanding who they are – not to mention underestimating their intelligence.
