BEAUTIFUL work, .
i can just see ye wi yer wee box o sandwiches an flask o tea wi no a care in the world lookin oot tae this braw site!
This was about 15 minutes after the heavens had opened. we were at a stock car meeting, covered in mud, burger van had run out of bread buns, tea had gone cold and I was totally p*ssed off. Other than that it was a great day.
The treacherous sands of Morcambe Bay Colin – great shot lovely sky ! Had an ancestor who drowned at Morcambe Bay, lived near Grange Over Sands and married into the Carter family who were the Sand Pilots for many years in the late 1700’s early 1800’s. Don’t know if he was Piloting, if so he can’t have been that good…..lol !
Not the sort of thing to put on your CV. There were guided parties crossing the bay while we were there apparently it is done in the name of charity, I hope their pilots were better informed. Thanks for looking mate.
A great image Colin x
