Mittelberg in the hills above Bolzano in the Italian Sudtyrol. The architecture is more Austrian than Italian which is not surprising as the area was Austrian for a period. We reached the viewpoint via the cable car from Bolzano and then the funicular railway, quite a memorable journey.
