Bridgewater Place, nicknamed The Dalek,is a office and residential skyscraper development in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It is the tallest building in Yorkshire, and has held this record since being topped out in September 2005.
As to the industrial hertitage, the larger tower, known as the Giotto Tower (1899), is based on a tower at the Florence Cathedral (1334) and was a factory ventilation shaft. The smaller tower on the left is a chimney (1864) which is a copy of a 12th century Lamberti tower in Verona, Italy.
