Taken on my enforced walk home from work yesterday. Looking from Low Lane towards Clayton Woods. About five minutes from home and was I glad.

Horsforth is about 5 miles NW of Leeds in Yorkshire. It was reputed to be the largest village in England at one time and was recorded in the Doomsday book as Horseford, residents are still referred to as Horsfordians. You can see a map courtesy of Google maps HERE There is still a village community amongst the older residents but unfortunately most of that has been lost and Horsforth is just another suberb of an ever expanding Leeds.

I am in no place to get snow shots ever so this is lovely to see what you see walking home Colin. I have never seen snow…I just wish I could get some shots like this xxx

  • Snow is beautiful in pictures and I can see the attraction if you have never experienced it but in reality it’s a damn nuisance! Thanks for the lovely comment and fave Janine!

Great winter’s scene, Colin. I’d be very happy of it didn’t snow at all.

“But we must have snow for Christmas!!”

    “Ya want snow? Go north.”

  • Thanks Mike, appreviated. Can’t agree more with your sentiments. A work colleague, while talking about her cousin in Ausralia the other day, said “I’d hate to have a BBQ on the beach for my Christmas dinner.” Well for me, TAKE ME THERE NOW!!!!.
