Brush Strokes

I need some good music to fuel my brush
so I can push
the paint with short gentle thrust
I am moved by the voice of this woman’s ache
Ani says her heart is perforated
and she is alone and devastated…

I can feel that
and I spill that
with paint on my canvas
and capture it perfectly
stroke after stroke
and this music provokes
and allows me to purge

I remove any doubt guilt and suffering
with primer and gesso
and I can release new laughter
with a crimson or a yellow

when it gets to a point when the brush can’t keep up
I toss it aside and
I fill my palms up
with mounds of paint
I glide it across
smooth wetness
and push it around with my hands
I guide it with my fingers
making a real mess of things
I mold my own vision
colored the way I need it to be
the way I clearly see
the beautiful creation
that was buried in me.

Very nicely done. Love the rythm of this. Like a song. Erotic too.

  • Thank you, Paul :)
