Just a thought

To all the writers out there who write often:

I made a promise to myself to write one poem a day; to dedicate one moment of my day to reflect and write.., Some I added and some I didn’t.

I decided to click back through and read all the poems I have added. It was a strange feeling because some of those emotions were fleeting and captured in time.. without the poem I wouldn’t have remembered the emotion. Some of them were fuzzy and others were prickly.. it was like reading someone else’s work.

For some reason it galvanized my perspective. It kept me focused and I can see the benefit of writing more and more as time goes by.

As much as Redbubble is about reading and appreciating others work, don’t forget to check in on the artist at your log in page… because if you are anything like me.. you will see your growth as a writer, you will recognize the journey, and the ups and downs of life.

Thanks Redbubble!

Brilliantly put my friend. Indeed the journey we are on is best and more fulfilling when we record our experiences and our thoughts as we go. I don’t have a writing schedule, but I do try to be open and awake to stimuli through my waking hours and sometimes while I am asleep. lol

Yeah.. I had to put myself on a schedule because I would have so many ideas about what I wanted to write.. but I am a procrastinator.. if I don’t write it the same day it is gone… The schedule was more of a promise to myself set aside time to do something I love. It gives me something to look forward too :)
