Installment of My 365 Project:
April 7, 2011: Blah day. Trouble with computer type things, whole day basically trashed with little accomplished in any way. Moodiness continues. This picture suits my mood in a few different ways and is something I’ve been wanting to do for awhile, just a simple little homage to the Mullholland Drive bum (who is a very sweet and absolutely stunning woman, btw.) Every time I see the rusty trash can out back I have the urge to hide behind it like this and pretend to be the bum.
I like the look this got with the cross process filter and lowered exposure.

Very nice Margaret!…..I think we all have days when we want to crawl behind something (a trash can) and hide…and forget the world/or concerns etc…….you’ve really captured the feeling……just a thought though…maybe the “bum” would like to trade places too. :-)
the bum is more than a bum— have you seen the movie? the bum holds the key to the truth. though much of this for me WAS just wanting to go hide out somewhere yesterday. the general dumpster urge is more along the lines of wanting to hide and then jump out and scare people.

ah….I see…no I haven’t watched the movie. I guess your urge is sort of like my urge when I once pretended to be a manikin in a storefront window long after the store had closed…and then I’d move as people walked by to freak them out etc. I was a night janitor in a dept. store.
LOL!!! oh that’s great!
