THE TALE OF TWO DOGS
The life of two rough collies
If a dog called Sarah could only speak
She would tell you of a life so bleak
How she became so very snappy
Because she was so unhappy
She must have thought she would never find
A loving home that was so kind
But one day she was found
A loving home that was so sound
At long last she could spend her days
In so many happy ways
Chasing sticks is such fun
Lying around in the sun
Dreaming of things yet to come
Now at home already there
Freddie lived without a care
Until the day that Sarah came
And life was not to be the same
Freddie a gentle giant is he
A collie just like famous Lassie
A quiet life Freddie prefers
Only taking time to stir
At thesound of ‘dinner coming’
Or the cry of ‘going walking’
Sarah was having none of this
She tried to eat from his dish
Freddie decided this too mch
And reminded Sarah who was boss
Sarah likes to have her way
She tries to have it every day
She is first to find a toy
Freddie is a lazy boy
He looks at her as if the say
I’m far too grand to have a play
To the seaside they did go
Lots of things for them to do
Puddles took them by surprise
They could not believe their eyes
When the sea came rushing in
Tempting them to have a swim
Together they like to go
Out for walks in the snow
In the woods they love to play
And it always makes their day
When they hear their master say
‘LETS GO WALKING’
