THE ANGEL OF THE NORTH belongs to the following groups:
Angel Wings and HeavenI was in awe when I first saw him there
Inviting me to be in his care
Welcoming me with open wings
He made my heart sing
I had never seen him before
He is now someone I adore
THE ANGEL OF THE NORTH
I am sure the Creator was there
And gave the artist the idea
To build an Angel so we could see
What one day Heaven will be
When I see him standing tall
I have no fears at all
THE ANGEL OF THE NORTH
The Angel lets me know
That one day I will go
And be in the Heavenly Place
And see the Creator’s face
There the Angels with their wings
Will make my heart once again sing
THE ANGEL OF THE NORTH
I cannot express
My feeling of happiness
When I see him there
Wings outspread in the air
I really think you should go and see
The Angel that means so much to me

Well, this is just beautiful. “Awe” is kind of how I felt about the Angel of the North too – he’s quite inescapable, and indescribable. This is a lovely piece of poetry, nice to read, and great that you are so inspired. Pamela. x

Stunning Sally – I love the Angel of the North – I used to pass it regularly when my Hubby was in hospital in Newcastle – I used to feel that it was his guardian angel and would watch over him until I returned to visit the following day – so as you see your words for this are very special and meaningful for me. I also love David’s image – it is an unusual angle and very beautiful. Thank you both for this ! xxx
