Two lovebirds sat looking at the sunrise
With their wonderful flashing eyes
Visions of them brought to my mind
Something we have lost and must find
The love of life and living for each day
For this I knelt and truly prayed
That we may return to our lives as one
Enjoy the flowers and the sun
Sit as these lovebirds do
Just enjoying nature’s view
Wanting to spend our dwindling hours
Running through the Spring flowers
Smiling at each other and giving small kisses
And exchanging our secret wishes
Lying naked holding hands
Just looking at our wedding bands
These are the gifts we have been given free
The Creator meant them for you and me
So let’s take advantage and watch the sunrise
And think of each other’s love as we close our eyes
