Here lies MARY in her grave
One of the Civil War brave
Who would have thought
That a woman would have fought
In the Civil War
I wonder if there were more
I’m sure she fought side by side
With the men and did not hide
Brave and sure not knowing what she faced
In the Civil War this woman placed
Herself in harm’s way the same as men
Who were all brave and were here friends
So all hats off and give a cheer
To brave MARY who lies here

Wonderful tribute to a brave lady, I don’t think I would have wanted to go to some of the places my husband went.
