what has man done?

dancing in the wood
beneath the hollowed
blackened trees
their limbs bending in pain
singing them a song of healing
while tears fall from her eyes
dried leaves glued to the ground
no motion…no movement
birds disappeared
into the vast emptiness
their nests empty
teetering on the edge
the fields once green
and filled with flowers
are now barren
the sweet scent is gone
small creatures fell ill
to the toxins in the air
death surrounds
gaia weeps for her loss
and man’s ruthless misuse
of the plentiful gifts
bestowed upon him
lightning flashes
thunder roars
the Angels weep
what has man done?

great write sally, i think it can all be chalked up to 2 words; overpopulation, and greed.

Very powerful indeed, Sally. The Earth weeps, the Angels weep and soon we will all weep knowing that something could have been done about it but a majority didn’t care enough and then it will all be too late.
