cat woman

by day, an ordinary woman
with children and a husband
much pent up anger
at the world around her
when the full moon rises
she changes
into cat woman
she turns golden in the moonlight
her nails that are bitten
become claws long and painted
her eyes turn red
from their pale blue
her breasts pointed in anticipation
her once brown unkempt hair
turns into golden fur upon her head
she leaves through the window
waiting breathless
for her prey
to rip his neck with her claws
drinking his blood
leaving him at death’s door
she has lived many lives
haunting the streets
waiting for the day
when you will be
her next prey
