i saw her walking toward me
down the long white corridor
with nurses bustling around
tending to the ill
she had a walker
wore a bandana
on her balding head
as we reached each other
she smiled and said hello
grabbed my hand
holding very tightly
reaching into my soul
attempting to get a moment
more of life
she stared into my eyes
her eyes were azure blue
filled with tears
they screamed out to me

Hospital Stories

As I walk through the corridors of the hospital when
I go to visit my husband, I often look into the rooms
of patients, and draw my own conclusions, and
write about what I feel and see…of course…loving
to imagination often runs away with me.
