madam butterfly
danced between the lilacs
to the sweet music
of her land
waiting for Pinkerton
to come visit again
her little boy
at her side
hid his face shyly
giggling together
near the seafoam green pond
watching the bright yellow koi
swim slowly near the lilypads
they sat to rest
never knowing tomorrrow
she would no longer exist
and the child of her heart
would take a long trip
never to see her again
