an angel of splendor
enormous wings
with every stroke
she would sing
it started out pink
then a splash of blue
a dot of yellow
a smear of silver too
red was painted
a touch of green
splendor in the sky
biggest rainbow ever seen
over the trees
in all beautiful hues
deepest of red
darkest of blues
i stared in wonder
how many could see
this beautiful rainbow
or was it just for me
