In a disguise
Thinking of the past
Through her wrinkled eyes
Loves so long ago
That certain heart throb
Turning her face
She started to sob
Her mascara smearing
Down her worn face
She felt no longer beautiful
Thought that was a disgrace
Never did she realize
Her beauty still remained
Now it was different
No longer the same
Each line and wrinkle
Spoke of a tale
Of a life so lived
A life to be hailed
The beauty in her heart
Always shined through
And year by year
She was renewed
Walking along
Her eyes cast down
Looking so sadly
She frowned
Memories began to flow
Thoughts of love gained
Love lost
And what remained
She shook her head
In great dismay
And went sadly
On her way
Why can’t she realize
Beauty is skin deep
Casts its glow
Then falls asleep
What is left
Beauty instilled
So rich
From a life love filled
Look in the mirror
Dear Faded Rose
And see your rich beauty
As it grows

Beautiful Sally-
-and flooded with deepest truths-none of us are-this skin we’re in-but-we live in a world-that focuses on-nothing but skin-until mankind returns-to your truth—how shall real love be known?xxxxxxxx,
