From every flower
And every tree
Whispering
So I won’t hear
But they can’t fool me
I know they’re near
I hear them giggle
Amongst themselves
I laugh
I can’t help myself
Little faces
Peeking at me
With wings
They think I can’t see
I can’t believe
They are unaware
That I know
They are here
They sniff my roses
Ring my tulips
From my lemonade
They take sips
They dance
Along without a care
Wonder if they would stay
If they knew I know they’re here
Shhh, don’t say another word
Sit back and just enjoy
