Did You Forget

Did You Forget
The magic when our eyes met
Lingering without a care
Wondering how we got there
Two lonely souls wanting more
Each with a heavy heart and open door
Our love like a merry-go-round
Sprinkles of sparkle fell down
We laughed at the dizziness we shared
Are those memories still here

Did You Forget
How I would fret
When we were apart
Every time you left it broke my heart
The tears like droplets of rain
Our love so strong..there was pain
The tinkle of bells when we kissed
Life was so lovely .. just bliss

Did You Forget
How close we would get
Sitting in the car
Wishing on the stars
Going home hand in hand
Making romantic plans
When we fell asleep
Dreams of each other to always keep
Holding hands in the night
Opening eyes in the morning light
Wishing days would never end
Always closer than any friends

Did You Forget
It’s okay, my dear, I have no regrets
Waltzing down the aisle
The guests all smiled
You held me in your arms
Always shielding me from harm
It is soon time for us to say goodbye
My heart aches and I cry
But the memories will return
As you await me your soul will again yearn
And sooner than a blink of an eye
It will again in the Better Place be you and I
