Spinning Wheel

Her life was like a Spinning Wheel
Out of control
Spinning webs of lies
That she told

She lied so much
She started to believe
All the lies
That she continued to weave

Spinning and spinning
Telling her tales
Afraid if she stops
She will fail

People will find out
The web that she’s spinned
They will hate her
And she will not win

Lying to her husband
Lying to her friends
Lying to her mom
When will this end

Forgetting the truth
She didn’t care
Her lies were growing
But going no where

Telling so many falsehoods
She didn’t know how to stop
It was clearly evident
The web was about to pop

It exploded one day
Her lies revealed
Her fate was written
And sealed

Standing humiliated
No more can she spin
All of her lies
Much to her chagrin

Reminds me too – Sally this is just a sad and rare insight into some people’s psyche. Who knows why they do it or how they can convince even themselves with their lies? But eventually it does all come crashing down! So very sad. And this is so well done, my friend!
