he was a man of good intentions
she was a woman of no dimensions
he was particular about how he lived
she never really wanted to give
he smiled and wanted fun
she jogged .. loved to run
he wanted a family
she wanted goodies that were free
he didn’t want to lose her
she was a user
sad as it may seem
she was his only dream
dreams sometimes go awry
those left with dreams that died
sometimes the ones we seek
are not those we keep
he was left wounds exposed
no longer was life a rose
when she said the word goodbye
she never even cared nor cried
he realized that it was his mistake
but yet his world did quake
he lives on with a foolish belief
she will return in sadness and grief
it will not happen … what does he not see
there is sometimes love that should never be
