THE JOURNEY

THE JOURNEY belongs to the following groups:

Complex Simplicity of Art and WMG

He sat on the train
With his eyes closed
Thinking of a new poem
Or perhaps prose
The train jolted
And with it’s stop
The time stood still
Tick Tock
He opened his eyes
There were alien creatures
Sitting around
As if in bleachers
Watching him carefully
With their eyes
Suddenly he was scared
He realized
There was a table
With with medical supplies
He must be sleeping
They touched his thighs
But then it happened
His greatest fear
They took an instrument
And looked in his ear
He screamed and yelled
And was put on a table
Now he felt
As if this was a fable
They prodded and probed
And took a little slice
Of his big toe
And then put on some ice
He was so frightened
He wanted to scream
And he awoke
Sweating in a bad dream
While putting on
His socks the next day
He noticed something very strange
His toes not straight
But rearranged
Now on one foot
He only had four
Then he heard
The knocking at his door
He ran in his room
And lay in his bed
Closed his eyes
Made believe he was dead
But in a flash
They were standing there
With a straight jacket
Sitting on his chair
He was rambling and raving
Out of his mind
They yelled electric shock treatment
We have no time
They strapped down
His arms on the gurney
He said Where’s the space ship
I’m ready for THE JOURNEY
