One of heartbreak and hard knocks
As water rushed in
And hit the rocks
Never did she think
Love would visit her again
Sadness overtook her
She needed a friend
Her eyes cast down
To the water below
She suddenly heard
Someone say “Hello”
He looked like a man
Who came out of the past
His beard was perfect
His eyes looked like glass
He was dressed in a white robe
And sandals for shoes
Her heart suddenly smiled
No more were the blues
He said it is time for you
To have all you desire
You have endured pain
And are admired
You never lost hope
And your faith is still strong
Your life will be good
Time for your song
Have faith My sister
And you will see
Just take My hand
And believe in Me
She held His hand
For just a while
He disappeared
After He smiled
She thought to herself
I didn’t catch His name
But the answer was simple
So very plain
Her life changed that day
And she went on to find
Love in a good man
And finally PEACE OF MIND
When she kneels down
To pray for all that is brand new
She smiles
And she says “Dear Jesus, thank you!!”
