An Angel will come
To bring me home again
A song will be sung
The Angel will hold my hand
And my spirit will fly
To the Promised Land
I only visited Earth
For a while
Now I will be in Heaven
And forever smile
The streets will be lined
With silver and gold
Everyone will be young
No one will be old
There will be no despair
There will be no pain
I shall be happy
To return home again
All those who departed
So many years before
Shall be waiting at the Gate
And I shall miss them no more
Everyone will sing
My soul will be free
And I shall be happy
For all eternity
I will no longer remember
All sadness and fear
Because sweet Jesus
Will always be there
