In the silence of the night
Do you feel eyes upon your face
Perhaps breathing
You cannot trace
Do you hear a heart beating
When no one is there
Suddenly you feel
You have something to fear
Perhaps you hear a whisper
Or a voice you don’t recognize
And your heart starts pounding
When you close your eyes
Do you hear a door open
Or perhaps feel a breeze
And all of a sudden
You feel ill at ease
Do you hear footsteps
In the middle of the night
Are you so fearful
You turn on the light
Or do you cover your head
And try to ignore
The soft knocking
At your front door
The next morning
Does everything seem hazy
And you think
Perhaps you are crazy
What is happening
What do you fear the most
Is it what’s going on in your mind
Or perhaps is it GHOSTS?
