She was dancing
Through the windows of time
All of the memories
Still fresh in her mind
Thinking of her mother
Holding her hand
Going to school
Playing flute in the band
Her first prom
Her first kiss
How wonderful it was
To just reminisce
Her marriage
To her very best friend
She smiled
Not realizing this was her end
Thoughts flashing
In and out
Not realizing
What it was all about
Reflections of her children
Standing around
Some with tears
Some a frown
What was happening
Wondering why
She was so happy
Why did they cry
Her daughter
Kissed her cheek
Her tears fell like rain
She wanted to hold her
And ease the pain
She could not move
But her mind was now free
All of her memories
Were all she could see
Then as if a flash
There was a light
She smiled
And her soul took flight
Out of the realm
Of what she knew
Her life would change
Again brand new
She looked back
At what she had been
A woman of faith
Not without sin
But always repentent
And now it was her time
